I'm starting to plan the next CROP for a CURE event. I will be holding it in July and looking at dates, places to have it, vendors, volunteers, donations, etc.

I want to say thank you to everyone who came to the Crop for the Cure on Saturday. It was an amazing turn out and I was thrilled with the amount of money we raised to help support RJ in his fundraising for the Susan G. Komen. You can visit his website and start looking for the donation from the Crop for a Cure. Believe it or not I was hoping to donate $500. Well I was able to do that and then some! Because I didn't have much out of pocket expenses we were able to donate $1940. Wow!

Please remember these giving businesses when you are out shopping. It was because of them that our event was such a success.

I've been getting more and more registration forms ladies so don't wait! Send yours in today and make sure your friends have too. I'll be finalizing seating around the 19th.

Also to let you all know, I got some more awesome donations today! Gigi's in Foley and Gulf Coast Scrapbooking are donating items. Plus Ann from Gulf Coast is having a class at the crop for a two page layout. I'm also talking with the design team from Scrappin' Frenzy to see what kind of class they'll be doing.

3rd Annual Crop for the Cure

For those of us touched by breast cancer we can certainly understand the need to find a cure. It's such a personal struggle that each of us has to deal with. When someone we know gets diagnosed we worry about them. When it's our own body we feel betrayed. So much has been done in the fight to cure breast cancer but there is still so much more that needs to be learned. My dear friend Francesca and her friend RJ are raising money to donate to the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk being held in San Diego. I wish I could participate in the walk. How amazing it would be to walk across the finish line knowing all your hard work and effort helped to support such a worthy cause. The walking is important but the donations are what makes a difference. For me I will be doing a mini walk for the cure the same day he starts off on his walk. You are all welcome to join me. Details to be announced soon.

This year the Crop for the Cure will be held in Daphne.

When: Saturday, July 23rd, 9am-8pm
Where: Jubilee Baptist Church
What: Scrapbooking
Why: Because we need to put those pictures into books. LOL.
How much: $40 by May 25th or $50 after
